One of the highest honors RWA bestows each year is the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is presented to a living author in recognition of significant contributions to romantic fiction and the romance genre. To qualify for the award, the recipient's career in romantic fiction must span a minimum of fifteen years. Recipients must in some way continue to promote the romance genre, teach romance in fiction, or publish romantic fiction. Authors are nominated for the award by RWA members.

Romance Writers of America’s RITA® Award is the highest award of excellence in the genre of romance fiction. The golden statuette, named after RWA’s first president, Rita Clay Estrada, is a symbol for the very best that romance fiction has to offer each year. RITAs are awarded to the romance novels that received the highest scores from panels of romance-author judges.
Robin has been a RITA finalist (for both historical romance and inspirational romance) seven times and has won the award twice.

First presented in 2000, the Christy Award recognizes novelists and novels of excellence in half a dozen genres of Christian fiction. The Master Storyteller of all time did most of His teaching through fiction. A great story captivates, entertains, educates, inspires, and challenges the reader — The Christy Awards celebrate novels from a Christian worldview that achieve these goals.
Robin was the recipient of the Christy Award in 2000.

Career
Achievement Award from Romantic Times Book Reviews
The RT Career Achievement Awards honor authors for their entire body of work throughout their career. The winners and nominees are selected by their staff of over 50 reviewers representing the readers' voice in the women's fiction industry.
Robin is a two-time winner of the Career Achievement Award (for Americana Historical Romance in 1994 and for Inspirational Fiction in 1999).
