Bounty of Silver Delayed

Every once in a while, something happens in the middle of writing a book. Maybe the “magic” just isn’t there or the writer stumbles upon a more enticing idea or ...

Something happened to me while working on what was to be my Spring 2011 release (as mentioned in the back matter of A Matter of Character). Suddenly I realized that the story wasn’t working for me. I loved (and still love) the characters, but I’d lost my way when it came to telling their story. I needed some distance. Thankfully, Zondervan was very understanding. It was determined that we should move forward with the next historical romance series and revisit Bounty of Silver after the series is complete.

So stay tuned. I'll let you know the title of my next release (fall of 2011) just as soon as my publisher confirms it won't be changed.

A Word to the Wise - Where is it?

In the back of Fit To Be Tied, readers were treated to an excerpt to the third novel in the Sisters of Bethlehem Springs series. The title was A Word to the Wise. But after Fit To Be Tied went to press and before the third book was released, A Word to the Wise became A Matter of Character. It was simply a title more fitting to the storyline, but the change left some readers confused. So if you are looking for Daphne's story, you need A Matter of Character.

What happened to New Wine, A Love Story?

I still get lots of readers and librarians contacting me about this one. Once again, it was a title change. When Firstborn was released in 2002, it had an excerpt in the back for New Wine. But between then and the book's release in 2004, Tyndale decided that my title, New Wine, sounded more like non-fiction than a novel, so they asked me to come up with another title. That's when it became Beyond the Shadows.
